IYENGAR YOGA, 4-part series
Fundamentals of Iyengar Yoga: Setting the Foundation for Ease
Presented by Princeton University’s Grad Yoga
Taught by Catharine Vaucher, CIYT
Setting the Foundation for Ease is a progressive series of workshops for exploring the physical practice of asanas (postures) within the context of yoga philosophy and science. Each workshop will include teachings from the Yoga Sutras by Patanjali and will explore fundamental actions and approaches to support a healthy and holistic yoga practice for physical, mental, and spiritual health.
Over the 4 workshops, basic, foundational actions will be presented for each asana group* for developing ease and intelligence in the practice of postures. Ancient and modern philosophical aims of yoga will be introduced as perspectives to consider and integrate into the practice of yoga.
